The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA and PGDM programs in various B-schools in India.

CMAT Test Pattern: Duration, Sectional composition & Scoring pattern

The CMAT  2023 exam paper has two separate time lengths for candidates who choose the five-section exam or the four-section exam.

  • The first option is a three-hour test divided into four 25-question sessions. The components include Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness.
  • The second alternative is a three-and-a-half-hour exam divided into five 25-question sections. The subjects covered include quantitative techniques, logical reasoning, language comprehension, general awareness, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • The three-hour examination will consist of 100 questions, while the three-and-a-half-hour exam will consist of 125 questions.
  • Each is a multiple-choice objective question.
  • The questions’ difficulty level is readily adjustable.
  • Each correct solution wins you an additional four points.
  • Each wrong answer has a -1 point penalty.
  • There is no time limit on the length of time a person may spend on a question paper. Candidates may attempt any question from any section throughout the CMAT test’s given time.
  • Four components are used to calculate the Merit Score and percentile rank.
  • The CMAT scorecard indicates the actual score obtained out of 400/500 possible points, the sectional score earned, and the sectional and overall percentile earned on the Exam.

CMAT Registration 2023

CMAT Registration & Application is an online process that is accessible for more than a month. This year CMAT 2023 registrations was started on February 13, 2023. On the final application deadline, CMAT registration will close at 11:50 p.m.

  • With your basic information, complete the online registration form on the NTA-CMAT 2023 Test website.

CMAT 2023 Registration Process:

Here are the steps to register for the CMAT exam:

  1. Visit the official website of NTA CMAT at www.ntacmat.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “New Registration” button.
  3. Fill in the required details such as name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
  4. Create a password and choose a security question and answer.
  5. Click on the “Submit” button.
  6. Your application number will be generated, and you will receive it on your registered email ID and mobile number.
  7. Login to your account using the application number and password.
  8. Fill in the application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
  9. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature in the specified format and size.
  10. Pay the application fee through online mode using debit card, credit card, or net banking.
  11. Review the application form and click on the “Submit” button.

The application fee for CMAT is Rs. 2,000 for general category candidates and Rs. 1,000 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. After submitting the application form, candidates should take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
