CMAT 2023 Exam Eligibility and CMAT Exam Application Fee

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has open the portal for registrations of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) applicants for the CMAT 2023 exam. The registrations are open on the official website of NTA and will be closed on 13th March 2023.

Like the previous year, the exam will be an online computer-based test (CBT). The exam duration is three hours, and candidates get divided into morning and evening shifts. The CMAT Exam is conducted across India every year to evaluate a candidate’s ability in subjects such as Quantitative Technique and Data interpretation, Logical reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. In addition, an optional section of Innovation and Entrepreneurship has also been added to the exam.

This exam is considered a major evaluation criterion in many top Management Institutions/Universities/Colleges in India. This year, the CMAT exam will be conducted on 23rd April. The exam will be conducted across India in 156 centres. Last year approximately 80,000 candidates were registered.

All aspirants must check the stipulated eligibility criteria and category-wise admission fees followed in this article before applying to the CMAT exam. All MBA/PGDM aspirants wanting to take admission through the CMAT Exam scorecard should check the minimum eligibility criteria before registration. The applicants should meet all the CMAT Exam Eligibility, and only those will be allowed to sit in the exam.

Candidates planning to take admission in MBA/PGDM in the upcoming academic year of 2023-2024 must go through the eligibility criteria of nationality, qualification, minimum score, and age limit to better understand the CMAT exam eligibility.

The CMAT Exam Eligibility criteria – Who can apply?

  • Nationality– The candidates must be Indian Citizens
  • Educational Qualification– Any graduates can apply (No minimum scores required). The applicant should have done their education in 10+2+3 years format (3 years of graduation course). 
  • Final year students graduating before the 2023-2023 academic year can also apply, provided that their results will be out by the commencement of MBA/PGDM admissions.
  • No age limit – There is no upper limit for taking part in the exams.

CMAT Exam Application Fee – How much is the category-wise fee?

Currently, the CMAT Exam Application Fee can only be paid online. All the registration processes are also made online. There will not be any offline mode of filling and submitting applications this year. 

The CMAT Exam application fee differs for reserved and general categories. For general category male applicants, the fee is 2000 Rupees, and for general category female applicants, the fee is 1000 rupees. Therefore, the CMAT Exam Application Fee is 1000 rupees for both male and female applicants from any reserved categories of EWS, OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PWD. The fee is 1000 rupees for the transgender category too. Candidates should check the table below to see their Application Fee according to category and gender.

The CMAT Exam registration is complete only when the applicants have successfully remitted CMAT Exam Application Fee Online. An additional charge of processing fee and GST may also apply to your payment. The candidates can pay the fee in the following modes:-

  1. Net Banking
  2. Debit Card/ Credit Card
  3. Paytm/UPI/ Mobile Wallet

Applicants have to pay the fees by the last date for registration. Otherwise, their applications will be considered invalid. Any failure of payment within the due date will result in the cancellation of the registration. 

A confirmation page will be displayed at the end of the application procedure. This confirmation document can be downloaded and saved as proof of submission in the application and remittance of fees. Once paid the Fees and completed registration, Candidates will not be getting a refund for any cancellations of the exam.
